The idea of this game is safety and support, and was inspired by trust falls where people fall backwards into each other’s arms in order to learn to trust one another. The idea is to know that your people fully have you, and will support you no matter what happens. This game is also like Roots, but with motifs instead of just tonality.
Get a simple groove going using one of the other games like Circle Music or Run, Jump, Hit-the-Wall.
At any time one player can “fall.” This means they completely change the groove by changing to a new key, tonality, tempo, or rhythm.
When they do this, everyone has to rush to “catch” them. Don’t let them hit the floor. You have to somehow save the situation by adapting to their new groove.
Falling is a game about trust.
